Packaging is important before Christmas - the buying, and after Christmas - the recycling. Let's start with the buying; eco-friendly wrapping paper can just be normal wrapping paper but with no glitter or plastic bits. If you want to get really eco-friendly then you could get recycled wrapping paper or biodegradable wrapping paper. It would also help to get wrapping paper that is not wrapped in plastic when you buy it. Now for the recycling part, the basic rules are if it has glitter or sparkly bits, it can't be recycled. Bamboo and biodegradable wrapping paper have to be put in your compost or garden waste bin.
